Octobers open day had some Halloween decorations around the site, with some members dressing-up too.
To Rosie & Chris Woolston, and Simon Pugh, a big "thank you" for coming along to run with their engines, delighted to see them once again.
The day was a little grey and damp, but we got prepared/set-up ready for the day.
At 10:30 am trains started running for the few passengers that had decided to chance the weather.
But ..... Darker clouds came in and suddenly, whoosh ..... the wind blew a gale, making the gazebo dance and bobble about, the rain lashed down and drenched those out on the track.
Thankfully this mini 'tornado' blew through and the clouds became fluffy white with blue sky showing, and the sun came out.
Good. More general public arrived and although not as many in attendance as we had come to expect, a nice time was had, with everyone in good spirits (pun?!!).
So thank you to everyone that came along to Evergreens on the day.
Our next event will be on the 4th of December (weather permitting!) and will be a Santa Special.
